ICDDR, B seeks applications for the post of senior
medical Officer for the reproductive health program under the public health science
Divisions at Dhaka Appointment will be made on projects fixed- term basis for a period of
one year.
Requirements: MBBS with Masters in public health. At least five years of experience, must
be able to develop research proposals write report and publications. Good Knowledge of
epidomology and experience in handling and analyzing data. The incumbate should have
update knowledge on national and international safe motherhood initatives. Experience in
obstetrics/Gynecology of safe motherhood activities is an asset.Computer skills and data
analyses with different statistical packages (e.g.- stata, spss, Epi-Info) are required.
Qualified candidates may submit their applications with bio-data, detailing experience and
other particulars along with a recent passport size photographs to the chief personal
officer, ICDDR, B Mohakhali, Dhaka-1212 by June 12,2001.

Vacancy for Swimming pool Attendant
The British high commission currently has a vancy for an LEVB
swimming pool Attendant. Candidates should be Fluent English Speakers.
Candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
Have prior Experience of the essential chemical
applications and testing procedures used to ensure the swimming pool water is maintain
within required.bacteriological and chemical guidelines;
Have prior experience have all aspects of the
management and operation of the similar seized swimming pool(Capacity 50,000 gallons or
above)
Have a general Knowledge of the plumbing
requirement of the swimming pool system and preferably
Some experience of actual fault finding and
rectification work required to remedy faults;
Have knowledge of precautionary and Health and
Safety procedures to use when using chlorine,acid alkaline and other chemical associated
with swimming pools;
To be able to work in close harmony with an
assistant pool attendant with regard to periods of leave, bank holidays and for cover
during periods of unforeseen absence.
Hours of Work will be Sunday to Thursday 0700-1500
and 1900-2100 on a split shift basis.
