Women's Dairy Cooperative
The project's goal is to improve the
socio-economic status of these women and to supplement their families' meager incomes.
CARE has been operating in
Bangladesh since 1955. Since the country became independent in 1971, CARE has had projects
in housing, nutrition, irrigation, credit, health training assistance and agricultural
development.
The Bangladeshi-American Foundation, Inc.,
is a membership-based, non-profit and mission-driven organization without any
political affiliation in the US or in Bangladesh.
The Salvation Army will very soon
have completed 25 years of service in Bangladesh. What began as a relief operation
following the cyclones in 1970-71 has by now developed in diversity of programs, in
numbers, and in quality.
WHO proposes
conventions, agreements, regulations and makes recommendations about international
nomenclature of diseases, causes of death and public health practices.
Red Crescent The International Federation is running or supporting
programmes in more than 150 countries. These include operations for victims of natural and
man-made disasters, refugees and displaced people and those hit by socio-economic
problems.
