Trip: Part 2

| Eventually,
I convinced my family
members and then got prepared for
the tour of
Sikkim . At
first I went
to Calcutta
. I have
visited Calcutta
several times
before, that’s
why I did not face any problem. We
stayed in a hotel , which is known
to me from my previous visit. This is a
common route to
go Sikkim via Shiliguri.
We
wanted to
travel by
train so, right after arriving in Calcutta, we headed out to
train station to purchase tickets. Unfortunately,
we did not get any ticket.
So, we did not have no other choices, but
taking the bus. I was really disappointed because I
really wanted to take a train trip. In India, train
journey is more comfortable, enjoyable
than the bus journey. |

| Since
I have visited Calcutta before,
I had
no intention to spend
any time in Calcutta. I wanted to
leave Calcutta as early as possible. After
the whole night journey we finally arrived at
Shiliguri
. As soon as we arrived at Shiliguri , we saw that
there are lots of bus and jeeps are waiting
and ready to go for Gangtok (
gangtok is the capital of sikkim)
. By this time we were really hungry. After completing our
breakfast, we started our jeep journey for
Gangtok . While we were on our way to Gangtok, I saw
lots of big mountain. Because
the road was built through very hilly area with lots of curve,
it took more than 5 hours to arrive Gangtok.

By
the time we reached Gangtok,
it was
5p.m. The weather was not that bad, chilly and a
little drizzling. Inspire
of the colder
environment I was feeling so much excitement. Everything
is so pretty. The smell of the air, beauty of the nature is
just perfect. The
entire Gangtok is very beautiful. We
stayed in a
Tibet hotel.

were so amazed by
the hospitality
& entertaining attitude of the employees of the hotel. |
| Since
we were their for the first time, we needed lots of travel
advice to make our trip successful. They gave us helping hand
for the next day package tour in Sikkim.
In the
evening we
decided to go outside and walk around near by
the hotel
. In
the Gangtok
town every
thing has
been closed
around 7
pm. Tomorrow
we will go Yumgham
( it was one
of my dream to go Yumgham)
. I was feeling very excited.
Tomorrow would be a very big day, as our package tour to
Sikkim begin very early in the morning. I could not wait
for tomorrow. I went to bed early and dreamed all night about
tomorrow. |
