I am in Sikkim |
I never thought I would ever touch a beautiful alpine flower
covered with snow. It was always a dream for me. My dream
came true while I was at Yungham valley in sikkim.
Sikkim is the 23rd
State of India. Gangtok is the capital of sikkim. The
Yungham valley is located over 15000 ft. above the sea
level. lt takes almost a day by Jeep to reach the top of the
mountain. We also needed a special permission to go there.
Because it’s right next to China.
|
I
had an opportunity to go Yungham in a package tour for three
days. The name of the tour was "Alpine Tour", five
young girl including myself were in that tour. Since we are
all girls, it was indeed an amazing experiences for all of
us.
When I tell my Alpine travel experiences with my friends in
Bangladesh, they can't believe me that I had done such
a all girl trip
In
Bangladeshi prospective. It is impossible for the women to
go outside the country alone. Though by this time we have
all ready completed our university life. Inspite of
completion of our university life, we
haven’t have that much freedom to go out of the country
without any permission of guardian. I would have consider
myself very lucky that, I have got the opportunity to tour
in "sikkim". When I was in the tour I felt that, I
am free from everything & I enjoyed a whole lot in the
sikkim tour.
|
Evern though it was very
difficult for me to convince my parents & family
members. At first everyone was against my trip. It
became an issue in our household and in the entire family.
One of my relative told me that, "you are a Bengali
women (origin of Bangaladesh) & going abroad without any
guardian is out of question. Besides, no one will ever marry
you if they find out about this trip"
