Aliya Shahnoor Ameen

 

Aliya Shanoor Ameen is our Scholar of the month for May 2001. She is a talented young women with lot of potential to reach her goal and success in life. She earned her Secondary School Certificate examination (SSC) & Higher Secondary certificate (H.S.C) from Chittagong. She finished her B.A (Hons) in English &  Masters in English from Dhaka University. Right now she is doing M.Phil in English at Dhaka University under Dr.Shawkat Hossain. She is the daughter of Mohd Nurul Amin, General Manager (Retired), Bangladesh Shilpa Bank, Dhaka. Her husband A.H.M Kamal, who is working as a Manager Money Market, Standard Chartered Bank. 

We wish her success in every aspects of her life.

  • How did you reached this position?
    Ans: The prospects of higher studies is bleak in Bangladesh. One has to over come so many ordeals before getting any smart degree. Frustration is a common phenomenon here among the youngsters. No body dares to prosecute their studies after graduation. Some has to support their families financially or the girls may go for homemaking. In my case my strong will and determination are the key factors, which act as my driving force.
     
  • Do you think it needs very hard work to become successful? 
    Ans: Obviously, hard work is one of the cardinal agents for achieving success. One has to study a lot, go through numerous books, explore Internet for the desired books, do library works and so on.

  • Please Explain your Daily Routine? 
    Ans: Iam a housewife so it is not possible to maintain a routine for studying. I try to sit for study whenever I get opportunity. I have to do household works, look after my kid---so this is different routine from my student life.

  • Have you achieved the goal you dreamed at your childhood?
    Ans:  At this stage it is quite impossible to say that my goal has been achieved. But I believe that I am on the right track. I have a fascination for teaching to be an educationist is what I have dreamed of.

  • Are you happy at this position?
    Ans: Definitely I am happy at this position. Because it is what I have aimed at.

  • Which tool you preferred first to obtain this goal?
    Ans: My consistency helps me a great deal to come to this level of my life.

  • How many hours do you study everyday?
    Ans: As I have told earlier that I don't have any fixed routine for my study when I get time.
      

  • Are you always in under pressure?
    Ans: No, I am not under pressure everyday, when there is any assignment it is very natural that I am preoccupied by the said project. Otherwise I have a fixed area for my M.Phil and I have to work in that area in a planned way.

  • How much time you spend for refreshment in a day?
    Ans: As I don't have any fixed hour for studying I don't have fixed time for refreshment. 

  • What do you do for recreation?
    Ans: My recreation is when I am with my kid and husband. 

  • Whenever you are in work, do you think you are working for the Development of your country? 
    Ans: At this stage it impossible to say that I am working for the development of my country. But in future when I will get into teaching that may be a part of the development of my country.

  •  Do you have any frustration?
    Ans: No I don't have any frustration.
  • Do you feel lonely sometime yourself?
    Ans: I am so embedded with my daily work that there is no time to think that I am lonely. I am not lonely after all.

  • How do you spend your leisure time?
    Ans: I read newspaper everyday. Books & magazines are left for the leisure time.

  • Do you think money is all in all in life?
    Ans: Money can never be all in all in life. To lead a decent life money is one of the key factor. Education, Humanity, sincerity can shape a good future.

  • how much family responsibility do you bear?
    Ans: I am a housewife, so mental and physical responsibilities are bestowed upon me.
     

  • How many hours do you sleep every day?
    Ans: I sleep six to eight hours every day.

  • What is your hobby?
    Ans: Traveling is my hobby. That's why I want to go abroad.

  • Do you think if you live in Bangladesh, you might have disconnected from the world? 
    Ans:  No I don't think that living in Bangladesh I will miss modern facilities of life. Computer, television, & many more things are get you connected with the rest of the world.

  • Do you feel you are Idle?
    Ans: No I don't feel that I am Idle.
  • do you believe in any superstition?
    Ans: I don't have any superstition. Real enlightened man can never have any superstition. Prejudice is a relative term so it cannot be specified.

  • Do you need any inspiration to be succeeded?
    Ans: Any works need mental boost. The whole -hearted supported of my family is my inspiration. 

        
  • What character of human Nature you think most important?
    Ans: Sincerity is the most important thing in human nature. I believe in try to be sincere all through my life.

  • Do you feel monotones on your Profession?
    Ans: My job is not always monotonous. When I feel boring I try changing my work pattern.

  • Do you feel your self something especial rather rests of your class people?
    Ans: No I don't feel that I am something special from my rest of my class people. Everybody is successful in some particular field. He or she may be a computer expert or a good singer or a good cook, or a good painter. What he or she knows well may be I don't have the least knowledge about it.
