Mahboob Shaheen is our young scholar for the month of December 2000. He completed his Masters of Science (MSc),in 1993, from the Department of Mathematics, University of Dhaka. He is a Lecturer (Study Leave) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) and just finished his MSc in Mathematics again from University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario, Canada. • How did you reach your present position? 
  Ans: By hard work, enthusiasm, sincerity and honesty. 
  
  
• What does it take to become successful in life?
  Ans: Right decision at right time, hard working and a goal.
  
  
• Do you think you have reached your goal or your dream came true?
  Ans: Time can change human and so the goal. Now I realize to do something ( a little ) new (in Research) gives a lot... pleasure and So goal will be to do something new always.
  
  
• Are you happy with your present status?
  Ans:  Yes. I believe happiness comes from our heart and so I am always pleased with current position/situation but also try for improvement.
  
  
• If there is one thing you could change to improve our country, what would that be?
  Ans: Definitely education which will improve all individuals. We should also consider Law and order.
  
  
• Do you think money is everything in life?
  Ans: No. Money is something, but not within the top 3 in ranking
  (to me ).
  
  
• You are living in Canada now. What are the things you miss most being away from home?
  Ans: Mainly family, friends and food.  
  
  
• Please compare the lifestyle between Canada and Bangladesh. Which lifestyle more appealing to you? 
  Ans: It is very hard to compare. I like simple life with no tension. But it is not possible. Law and order is very good here which reduces the tension a lot.
  
  
• If you have to go to deserted island and you can take one thing with you. What would you chose to carry with you?
  Ans: Mobile phone (for rescue purpose).
  
  
• Who is your favorite writer, actor/actress, singer, and player?
  Ans: Satyajit Roy, Mel Gibson, Mishal Phiper, Sabina Yasmeen, Wasim Akram.
  
  
• What is your future plan?
  Ans: I like a simple life in a friendly environment with love and Research. 
  
  
•  Do you think being kind or polite is a sign of weakness for men? 
  Ans: No I like to be polite. To be kind, it's not so easy.
  
  
• Do you believe in women rights?
  Ans: I like equal rights.
  
  
• Which human characters are most important to you?
  Ans: I like the quality of begin reasonable in all aspect of life.
  
  
• Do you believe in luck?
  Ans: Yes. But you don't know your luck. So you have to try to make your own luck and this (to try) is also a part of you luck.
  
  
• Do you have a role model who you admire?
  Ans: Not specific one. 
  
  
• Please comment about the political and economical situation of Bangladesh.
  Ans: We need huge involvement in politics from the middle class family with commitment and patriotism.
  
  
• What are your hobbies? 
  Ans: I enjoy TV, movies, cartoons, reading books, and gossip with my friends.
  
  
• Do you believe in settle marriage as a tradition of our culture?
  Ans:  Yes. I do not want to argue, but there is always advantages and disadvantages in any kind of marriage.
  
  
• Anything you want to say to our readers?
  Ans: Think before ink. Learn and be brave enough to face any obstacles to establish your believe.
