Marshal
art hero Rubel. One of the star in Bangladesh. He is also the most
prominent marshal art hero of Bangladesh. Rubel always give priority
in action and marshal art based film. In Bangladeshi film Industry he
has created a new trend of style. He introduced himself with the film
“LAWRAKU”. Rubel is a Black Belt holder and also nationally and
internationally awarded for his good marshal art performance.
Q 01. When did you come in the film Industry?
Rubel:
In the year 1981 I have just completed my honors exam, I had been
passing leisure time. In that time my elder brother Masud Parvez (Sohel
Rana) went Cox’s bazar for Jiban Nawka film shooting. My brothers
told me to learn assistant directors activities. An assistant
director first and prime concern is good clapping. So I intended to
learn how to clap. Gradually, I get to know all the techniques of
clapping sticks. As an assistant director I took part on clapping that
was my turning point and I indulge my self in the film arena. After
that I continued my study and film direction simultaneously.
In
the year 1979 I begun practing marshal art. I achieved national
championship award of marshal art in the year 1982, and 1983. In the
year 1984 I went in out door shooting in Nepal there I had taken some photo
snapped. One of the photo came out really nice. It was a karate pose. Al
Masud, scriptwriter and director saw the photo and asked me if I was
interested in acting. But at that time I was not completely ready for that. I was
just learning how to make a film and my intention is to become a good
director.
One
day my elder brother Masud Parvez told me that he want to make a film
with me. At the end of 1985 I started my career with the film “LAWRAKU”.
In April 1986 it was release and mass people accepted it. It was Mega
hit film. The
producer of the film “LAWRAKU” was Masud Parvez, and director was
Shaidul Islam Khokon.
Q
02. Producer, Director, & Actor in which area you fell
comfortable?
In
consideration of my current position obviously I would say acting.
Because actor rubel is more well known to all. As a producer I did only two
movies but as a director I did one. In the direction area I am too
much new. So I need time to become a good director. I want to give
something to my spectators through my film. I believe film is the
media through which we can give lot of things to our society. Film is
one of the entertainment industry, we always consider amusement. In my
latest film “BICHHU BAHINI” I tried to make it funny,
amusing and how marshal art helps in our everyday life.
Obviously,
I tried to give some social message through my film as well.
Q
03. If you would given an
opportunity to to
act with a Hollywood actor, who would you select?
-
If I have an opportunity I would like to act with Jacky Chan.
Q
04. If you would
given an opportunity to to
actress with a Hollywood actor, who would you select?
-
Obviously I would like tol act with one and only Sharon Stone.
Q
05. Would you please make some comment on the vulgarism of the film?
-
Our country has lot of critics who loves to criticize. Yes, I confess
that in the current films, lot of obscene overwhelmed our film but I
am
totally against of vulgarity. Spectators have different psychology and
different test if we frequently develop nude scene based film.
Viewers
are gradually habituated of that but we should resist about the nude
scene of every film. We will have to emphasis “SHUSTO BINODON” for
real entertainment. Our sensor board should be taking some punitive
action against them who are making these types of films.
Q
06. In the recent scenario showed that new actor and actress are not
lasting so long in the film industry. Why they fail to indulge in the
entertainment industry or film Industry?
-
Once someone turn in to a star actor and actress, they fell that
they have achieved everything. But their concept is totally wrong. Lack
of devotion's, disrespects to the elders, is the main cause for
their short longevity in the film industry. Devotion of work, own
image creation, creates individuality as an actor and actress, and
above all respect to the work is the main thing for the long time
lasting in the film industry.
Q
07. What’s your future plan?
-Become
a good director.
