Azom Khan (GURU) was one of the pioneer of Band music trend. Current band musician obey him as a Guru.

In the 1971 he fought against Pakistani shoulders for countries emancipation. After that, again he starts fight for the establishment of Band Music in Bangladesh. Azom Khan was the founder of these types of music trend. He was successful in this event we the audience easily acknowledge it. That’s why he is the unquestionable, unchallenged and undisputable “GURU” of Bangladeshi Band musician and Band lover. “Azom khan” has main contribution in the present stringent position of Band Music.

 
“EY GAN SHEY GAN”

In my time (obviously at the beginning period) we have tendency to emerge our nature through music. I always tried to give new tests to our music by using foreign instruments. My thought always worked that combination among tune, lyrics and music for the creation of different style. But I observed that the scenario has totally been changed. Recently our singer copies the total western music. It is a painful matter to me I want only using instruments for our Deshi music but they are doing totally opposite. Our singer thought that our audiences are fool about the music but it is totally wrong. We were maintaining our tradition when we performed music. We should maintain our individuality. If we are always mimetic, and not apply our imaginative power it will be very bad to us.

I am sorry to tell that today we sing only because of earn money. If money earning is only motive to earn money, gradually our music Industry will be jeopardize. Music is the food of mind, so it needs spontaneous rhythm.  

But now some of the new talent singer hit the music market and their performance is good.

Ayub Bachhu, Hasan, Shafin Ahamed, Jems they are talent artist and did well. In the previous time they started with a new vision but when they achieved every thing their mental inclination is deteriorate. This is not a good sign at all. We were started a new trend of music it is their responsibility to sustain the trend.

In the mid afternoon we were flown kite. Playing football, Cricket, Marbell, Singing this all are my daily activities. That was my time of dream. When I remember my tender age I feel so bad. My childhood friend Sattar, Jamal may not be able to recognize me. But once that was a time if we were not see our we cant sleep.
