For Actor and Actress:
Reading:
In this section there is no alternative except
reading books. These books should not be only drama oriented but also should be different
subjects like noble, literature. So you
should be habituate of reading. Though sometimes it seems to be more expensive, then you
can go to the library, which is very near to your residence or office. Besides you can
borrow from your friend’s personal collection, but for this purpose you should be
sincere to return these, otherwise they cannot borrow you their books.
Clear
speech:
Clear speech is the most important tool for an actor or actress. Without it nobody can
imagine to be an actor or actress. So try to make your speech clear. Though it comes from
practices, but in preliminary stage you need to go some speech-learning academy. There are
some courses for three months, six months or one year about speech. The academy gives some
practical lesson and some reference books, cassettes that can be developed your speech
skill. In Bangladesh, there are many academies in all districts around the country. In
Dhaka there is many speech development center, especially in TSC near Dhaka University. It
is very cost effective. If you are not able to go to this academy, just buy some
speech-oriented books and cassettes and practice your own. There are many kinds of
speech-oriented books and cassettes are sold in the market. Most of the people believe
that their vocal and speech are clear and good, but it is bad concept. To solve this
problem you have to record your vocal on tape, listen to it and try to find mistakes and
finally it needs to be improved. This practice should be done again and again.
Observation:
Observation power is another important tool for an actor and actress. They should keep
attention on which happens around their atmosphere. Every moment they should remember that
they are to some extent different from general people. So what ever they want to see in
their daily life, they should see through observation, like, why, how, when, by whom, it
can be happened.
Workshop:
Enroll a Drama center or Drama workshop. There are some advertisement has been seen in our
daily newspaper for enrollment in a drama center or drama workshop. Usually the duration
of workshop is for 40 days or two months, on the other hand it needs at least one year for
a drama academy. Besides that three or four university in our country has been launched a
four years long Honors and Master degree course on Drama. In Dhaka there are two prominent
drama school, which names are, Theater School at Eskaton Garden and Natto Shikhangong at
Malibag Bazar. These academies have been launched one year long course and a fee is not
more than five thousands for full course.
Watching Drama & Film:
You have to watch some dramas and films but enjoy this not as general viewers. Watch these
very specifically and be concentrated on different business. Some time, if possible,
imagine yourselves as a character of this film and think accordingly.
In
front of Mirror:
It is very important to be actor or actress to know their facial expression, so they
should see themselves through the mirror and practice which feelings to express by making
which facial expression. For example, to receive a good news, automatically happiness
reflect on your face, this kind of practice you have to do. Then you can justify
yourselves on varies character what do you want to be.
Confidence
Building:
Confidence is very important part for an actor and actress. To obtain confidence you
have to know more detail about drama, acting. What you are doing, make believe on this,
otherwise it will not be perfect and when you are on stage or in front of camera this
confidence help you to do free acting. When you will able to do free acting that will be
perfect. One thing always should remember that when you are on stage, try to forget whose
are in front of you and you should think your audience are foolish and you are their boss
because this is your show.
Keep Communication:
If all preparation would be completed, then you can go to an expert photographer and
take some picture from different angles and different expressions. Submit it to the
director, play writer, producer etc. You have to market your skills because there are lots
of competition out there. You might feel shy or not motivated to do your own
marketing but now a days there are no alternatives. In Bangladesh there are lots of
package program have
been made, so you have the opportunity to get a chance on media. Try to keep communication
with some production house and collect some address of drama or filmmakers, contact them
and show your interest accordingly.
For Dancer:
There are two kinds of dance,
traditional and modern dance in our country:
Enrollment
in an Academy:
For knowing dance you need to enroll in a dance academy. There are a few years long
course on dancing but it is not expensive rather hard practice. There are lots of dance
academies all over the country you may choose any one of them. You may get a privet dance
teacher who can come to your home for teaching how to dance. For modern dance it has also
some academies, though it is expensive but it has demand on media. Besides the academy you
have to practice your own. Expression is very important part of dancing so try to know the
theme of the dance and do accordingly. Some time you may act in front of mirror and
justify your expression. On the other hand you have to be more aware about you psychical
condition. Try to be thinner.
After complete your preparation, contact with the
producer and show your interest. Please avoid your shyness; just believe you are the right
person who will able to do it.
For Presenter:
Presenters are spending their golden
time these days. Not only in media, but also any kind of program need a presenter. To be a
presenter you need some preparation.

You should be smart on your mood of action and try to use your arms and body gustier
when you describe something.

people. You have to be social.

comics, jocks, story, and by watching film, TV program etc. Always give attention to your
audience so that they will not be bored.
Photograph:
Take some picture from different style and submit it to the media center and always
keep in touch with them.
For Singer:
There are very few people in the world that does not like song. In Bangladesh
there are many kind of songs like Najrul, Robindra, Baual, Vatialy, Polli Ghiti, and Band
etc. First of all you have to decide which kind of song you want to learn.
Enroll in
an Academy:
For dancing you need to enroll in a song academy. There are a few years long course on
singing but it is not expensive rather hard practice. There are lots of song academies all
over the country you may choose any one of them. You may get a privet song teacher who can
come to your home for teaching how to sing a song. For band song it has also some
academies, though it is expensive but it has demand on media now a days as well as young
generation. Besides the academy you have to practice your own. Expression is very
important part of singing so try to know the lyrics, composition and do accordingly.
Recording:
After completing preparation, record your song and lesson it and try to find your
mistakes, though it is expensive but it is fruitful for a singer. In this way when you
feel the song is perfect or near perfect then submit it to the media center and cassettes
producer. Always keep in touch with them and let them know your interest.
Avoid your shyness and hesitance

Before going to media you have to participate some public show to obtain freeness and to
get confidence.
Photograph:
As a singer it not so important that how they are being looked rather their vocal but
they need to take some beautiful pictures for media.
For News Broadcaster:
It is also very attractive profession in the current media but it needs some
preparation. You need clear speech and photogenic face.
