The Adult Rated movie..

The age of 'adult movie' has finally arrived in the country with movie "Fire" directed by Mohammad Hossain. The shooting of the film was done in Thailand. Though the director is grading the movie as 'A' , but the performers of the film vehemently protested such claim.  According to them, they knew nothing about the director's intention that he would call it a graded film. "We do live in a society. What would people think of us?" said an artiste of the movie.

But what will happen to the local movie industry if Fire gets out? Won't it give the producers a chance to make only obscene movie?

This type of adult scenes are very common
 in recent Bengali films

"Well" I don’t think it is going to make any difference," said a film critic. "Are the recently produced movies of Dhallywood any better then adult movies?" he asked. "At least it would give the movie-goers the chance to select movies before watching it," he concluded.

Purnima on the mini screen

Recently, Purnima has signed in a couple of tele-films, which surprised her fans. Purnima, being already a busy actress of the big screen, now pursuing her career in the mini-screen simultaneously. Recently few of her tele-films were aired where her performance was not satisfactory at all. She acted as if she were acting in a cinema.

But now she has dedicated to act regularly on TV. "Why can't she be happy with the cinema?" asked a viewer and further added that she should not pursue this career since she has a lot to learn about acting.

She's different...

Perhaps a star without any scandal is the most unlucky person in the showbiz. Scandal is the most sensitive part of a star's career if h/she is to be called a star at all. But there is an exception to that . Shahnaz a rookie of the industey is probably the least publicized actress. Still, amagingly, she is working in more then a dozon films right at the moment!

"I don't like being hyped," said Shahnaz. "I went to stay clean throughout  my career and I don't care about its result," she concluded.

Right no, she is working with some famous directors, co starring with actors like Rubel, Manna and Ferdous. And guess what? The producers are becoming more interested in her as most of her releases are making big bucks in the box office. She sure is an exception.

The Roshan dynasty has dazzled Bollywood by winning most of the awards in the recently held Fieldfare Awarded 2000." Kaho Na Pyar Hai" got the best movie, best actor awards. Besides, Rithik got another award as the best debutante actor. Obviously it became a tiring job for the hosts of the show calling the Roshans again and again. But the Audience just loved it.

They award for the best actress went to Karishma Kapoor for her dynamic performance in Fiza. Rithik was the actor of that flick too. Amitabh Bachchan bagged the award of the best supporting actor while Jaya Bachchan became the best supporting actress. This is Amitabh's second Filmfare award in thirty years.
