Film festival 2001 Bangladesh international film festival, 2001 will start on 25 January 2001 in some major cities of the country. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will indurate the festival. Already a committee has been formed with famous actress Kabari Sarwar as its head. The committee, which has its office in city's Bijoynagar area, is now operating in full swing to make the festival a successful one.
This year, a total number of 80 local and foreign films will be shown. Already 18 countries have agreed to participate in the festival, but the main participant countries would be, according to some sources, India, USA & England. Some famous film directors like Shekhar Kapoor; Yes Chopra and Derek Malcom will also participate in the festival. Besides, a Retrospective Mukharjee will also be discussed in this seminar. Shakespeare in love and Elizabeth are certainly well acclaimed films. But no one has found any reason why commercial film like "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" has been included with these movies. Shabnoor's Opinion Shabnoor is now the most demanding actress of the industry. She has already completed her seventh year in the showbiz. For the last three years .She is considered one among the five most popular actresses of the country. Last year, She had an excellent career graphics which sky rocketed throughout the year. But things seem different this year. Though this year's release "Eei Mon Chai Je" was a hit but her other release was a flop. But she is not upset at all. "I had been through tough times and I am now used to it,"
Shabnoor said. "Critics have on various occasions tried to nail me down but they failed, "she said jarringly and added that it is her fans that she cares about not her career. While talking about the failure she said, "Not a single movie has done well this year and I don't blame anybody for this". How ever in her opinion it is because of the low quality productions that people are abstaining from going to cinema halls.

Mafia Shakes Bollywood Again Mafia has once again stepped inside Bollywood. This time not as extortionist but as producer. But as usual, they couldn't help doing it without guns. The story began when CBI found that one mafia don of mumbai Chota Shakil funded the latest release "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke". Shakil, an aide of Dawood Ibrahim, allegedly paid all the expenses of the movie, and all the stars of that film knew about it! Mumbai police and CBI have already quested the actor of the film salman khan, but nobody is eager to believe him. It goes with other stars of the film Rani Mukharjee & preety Zeinta. Police has seized an audio-tape that contains the stars' conversation with the Mafia boss. The celluloid is getting pretty ugly these days. No don't about it.
