Q1.Would
you please tell us how you started business & reach for success?
--- When I started business every body thought that Business
profession is not white colure job. Every body thought that Government
service, Teaching profession, and other administrative job has
societal position, & societal status. If they consider profession
they will give priority of that. After liberation if I join as a
government employee my basic salary is only Tk750, besides one of my
college who is less efficient than me also get same amount of money.
Whatever you done for the organization or the company you will get
salary end of the month. In government organization same type of work
you will have to do for a long time, Some times it will be monotonus.
There is no scope to prove brilliancy. But in Private organization
every moment you face lot of chalanges. If you are competent &
able to fulfill their target they will give you reward and incentives.
You can also enjoy prompt promotion and commensurate remuneration.
Very frequently you faces Domestic challenges and global forces.
Though Iam doing Business so, I need specific plan & target. I am
doing "Cannon" product Marketing. Every year Iam achieving
my target, cannon authority told me, despite your countries political
unrest, and other inhinderence still you are achieving your target.
How can you do it? Actually I always wait for bright day. I know after
"Hartal" people will come to me for their demand. If Iam not
fulfills their demand they will be frustrate. I always believe work
&try to maintain Time Management; this is my inner strategy for
the success of my Business.
Q2. What
external forces that creates inhinderences to your Business?
---- Noise, Hartal, Terrorism, charges money from terrorist group this
are very common phenomenon in our urban life. We will have to that
much courage to face the external forces. When I was in class 9, then
I had read "Dell Karnegy" books. How can you be
self-concentrated? How can you relief from your Frustration? How can
you be proactive?
These types of thing I had learn from that book. You see the boy who
are riding Rickshaw in the shiny scorching environment, are we not
well off rather him?. Always you think what you have, if you always
concentrated in your scarcity you became frustrated. Avoid negative
attitude in your brain. Think every thing positive. Whenever you go
for Business lot of obstacles & obnoxious things will attack you.
But you must have that much confidence to overcome that problem.
Q3. In our
country there are so many computer training Institute that offer
3months, 6months & one year Diploma in Computer Course Curricular
Program. The students who are enrolling in different semester but after
completion their courses their out put are not satisfactory. What are
the reasons behind that? & What your opinion regarding this fact?
----- Only 3% to 4% (Approximately) student could do well in
programming and other brain garmenting profession. But they are not
sustaining their job because of new technology changes the scenario
very rapidly. The students who have only vocational certificate they
are not cope up with that environment. If fresh science graduate,
University Bachelor degree holder, MBA student take computer training
from different vocational institute they will be reach zenith of the
career within a very short time, specially I believe this things.
Pure science graduate who have good educational background but they
have inadequate knowledge about computer, if they go for NIIT, APTECH
& other computer training Institute he will be bullet. But the
student who has poor result in SSC & HSC examination, how much
they well off in computer field it has doubt. NIIT, APTECH and
Other computer training institute they are doing business so they need
students what their qualification & quality they are not judges.
Most of the guardian fascinated their attractive advertisement and
take decision that if they enroll their son in that computer firm they
will possess something and earn lot of money. This stereotype concept
jeopardizes their son's life (If the students are not competent to
learn how can you expect from him/her). For that reason after
completion their course they are not able to do some thing
exceptional. That's why they are not sustaining their job in IT field
for a long time.
Q4. Tell us one
special quality that's belongs to you?
------ Other persons will testify my special quality. Actually, I
always give Importance about my time. Time is a very crucial factor to
me. I always endeavor to do my assign work in due time. If you tell
what is the reason behind my success I will tell you commitment &
time. There is a reciprocal relationship between commitment &
time. If I committed to some one I became mad to maintain that
schedule.
Q5. When did
you start your business.
------- Especially I started my career as a programmer in IT field in
the year 1980. But in the year 1990 I started business as a partner of
J.A.N Associates Ltd.
Q6. In your
opinion, what qualities require to become a successful Businessman?
----- In order to success in your life and professional field you must
abide by your plan. Without planning nobody success in his own life.
Always maintain words I mean commitment. Be committed to your boss,
your clients, & your customer. If you fail in your word they will
mistreat you. honesty is also a important quality to be a business
man.
Q7. How much
time do you spend for your Business?
------ As a IT professional I count every moment, every second. Every
moment I clarify my vision and target because IT field moving so fast
and rapidly changes yesteryear scenario, that's why I have to cautious
to accustom with that situation. but if you tell me my office time it
obviously 9A.M to 5 P.M.I used to in morning because off in that time
my mind is totally self concentrate and I am able to take decision
very easily. Every weekend I came in my office & work very
minutely.
Q8. What are
the main lacks to our people to become a entrepreneur?
------- As an entrepreneur we are not that much successful, but we are
very good follower. Our overall nation character, cultural atmosphere
not help us to be a entrepreneur. When we see something in front of us,
we have the capability to redesign it and repack it, but we are not
enthusiastic to innovate something new. Success and failure ratio is
too high and as well as risk involvement is their and we are not that
much calculative for research oriented work. Our Bangladeshis have
very good poetic Imagination power; we are very good follower but not
Innovator. After liberation some people import medicine from other
country & marketed all over Bangladesh and doing Business very
well. Actually Bangladesh is a marketing oriented country. Industrial
revolution little bit influences in our countrymen mentality. Current
scenario indicates that people are little more venturous to setup new
Industry; it's a positive sign. If government gives special
concentration for setup of Industry and Industrial development I think
people will be enthusiastic to set up new Industry.
Q9. How does
government helps our IT Industry?
------ Present government is cooperative and helpful in IT related
issue. Especially current government gives lots of facility to
flourish IT business in Bangladesh. The policy maker of the government
was so cooperative, but the total system was not systematic. There is
a little distance between government & people. Government is just
work as a facilitator. They can only do for Infrastructure
development, Roads & culvert development, different law and
implementation etc inconsideration of mass people. Government give
special accentuation in IT sector, in compare to the other
sector.
Business has almost come in give & takes situation. One country
per capita income, Gross National Product (GNP), and Gross Domestic
Product (GDP) depends on strong Business community.
Q10. Tell us
briefly the future of the computer industry in Bangladesh?
------ Information Technology (IT), and Biotechnology will be more
activate after the year 2010. Without this two (02) sector it is too
tough to survive in this world. Information Technology is totally
knowledge base Industry, and on the other hand Bio- technology is
totally research oriented. If our foundation is week we decline our
courage to face the competitive world. I told you earlier that our
people is very good follower but they are not well enough as a
innovator. Innovating is possible only for those who have good
foundation as well as brain germination capability. Twenty (20) years
have already been passed in the arena of Information Technology (IT)
industry. Foundation period already went away, now we are in
Intermediate stage, more crucial level than the previous time. Now our
young generation enthusiastic about the computer. They know how to
develop software also know how to design web site; no doubt it's a
positive sign.
If we take care our grass Root level we will enrich our ultimate
Horizon & achieve our target.
Q11. Would
you please give some encouraging word for our New Generation?
------- Prudent world can most judiciously proceed towards the next
majestic horizon. Due to the convergence & divergence of economy
lots of threats and opportunity overwhelmed in our country. New
generations are getting lot of opportunity to flourish their
brilliancy, & efficiency. New generations are so lucky because
they born in the age of computer. If I Begin my life again I can be
cautious about every stage thus failure is not occur any more. But it
is possible any more. One thing I want to inform for new generation
that is always utilize your time. Don't waste the valuable time. And
also give adequate time for you're knowledge & try to learn which
is unknown to you. Today's bright young gentlemen can subjugation
anything & they can bit the world. Run for knowledge because if
you have knowledge other things will come automatically. Just go ahead
gather knowledge, and experience success will grip up easily. Wastage
of time will give you failure and frustration.
